The Table

Bus Tables

Help in The Table by making sure tables are cleared to allow new guests to be seated and share a meal with other members of the Community. This is a great service opportunity for the whole family!

Expo

Help in The Table by making sure plates are ready to leave the kitchen to be serves to the 3,500 guests that we serve dinner to every year at CFTC. Volunteers must be 16+ to serve in this area.

Greeter/Server

Be the first face guests see as they enter the table as a Greeter/Host. Share your welcoming smile and demeanor and build community in line as our neighbors wait to be seated. Make sure guests receive dinner, drinks, and anything else they may need so they can share a community meal together. This is a great volunteer opportunity for the whole family!

Host

Sit at a table and facilitate conversations & make new friends with neighbors from all over the community as you share a meal together. Perfect for our most hospitable volunteers!

Help us create a sustainable culture at CFTC as we work to recycle and compost most of our trash! We use composted materials in community gardens that grow some of CFTC’s supplies!

North Pole Village

North Pole Village Volunteer

This year, in the North Pole Village it’s all about experiencing the simple but powerful joy of Christmas! In the North Pole Village, kids can make toys, hear the message of Christmas in the North Pole Theater while sharing a cup of hot chocolate with friends, decorate Christmas cookies, and meet Santa and his elves.  Loving volunteers are needed to help with supplies, to warmly welcome our guests, to assist the kids with their activities, and to be open to meaningful conversations with families as they experience the heart of Christmas – the love of Christ.

Volunteer opportunities:

  • North Pole Greeters

  • Santa’s Elves

  • Woodworking Assistants

  • Hot Cocoa Servers

  • LEGO Land Assistants

  • Cookie Sprinkle Hosts

  • One Hope Bible Experience Hosts

Please click the button above to sign up for a timeslot to serve in the North Pole Village for CFTC. Decorations

Do you have an eye for interior design or a flare for decorating? Or maybe you would love to help with creating a North Pole experience or setting up centerpieces in the main stage room. No matter your skill level, you can help to set the atmosphere for Christmas for the City. Join the decoration team to bring in the Christmas cheer.

Set-up Team

We need your help to set-up for this great Christmas for the City event. If you have a willingness to set up around the Benton and help prior to the event, then we could use you. You might think you need to have super human strength….nah, we can use people to post up signage or set up the volunteer station! We also need some to help with setting up equipment and unloading trucks.

Tear-down Team

Christmas for the City is a huge opportunity to minister to others, and after it is over, the ministry doesn’t stop. We need your help to pack and clean-up so that we can continue to show love to the Benton staff by leaving the place in great order! We also need willing volunteers to help us pack up all equipment and materials and for next year’s event! If you would like to enjoy the event and serve after, then this role is for you. With your help, we can be packed up in no time!

Interpretive Services

Our city has a diverse population. We want everyone to be able to experience Christmas for the City. If you have interpretive skills (sign language or bilingual), then we would love to have you sign up to assist us in loving people.

As a part of the “Capture the Event” team, you’ll be helping us “freeze” memories during the event. We need those who are skilled in photography, videography or social media to assist us throughout the night. We will be working as a team to photograph the event and celebrate the God moments and joy that is shared by those within our city. If you are interested in serving in this way then sign up for this team. Equipment required: DLSR or High Quality smartphone.
