Volunteer Stories

Sometimes in the middle of the chaos, we miss the stories that make Christmas for the City what it is - below you'll find a few of the stories and testimonials of the people that make CFTC so great!

Ebony Pratt - 1st year CFTC Volunteer
Community Outreach Coordinator - East, Susan G Komen NWNC

"This was our first year participating in Christmas for the City. We decided to be table hosts, and 4 of our breast cancer survivors were able to participate. They each hosted a table and were able to interact with guests in a more intimate setting versus our usual opportunities where we pass out educational materials at health fairs, etc. This was an excellent time for the survivors to share their stories and experiences and also hear from other people in the community and learn about their lives.

In the words of our Forsyth County Face of Breast Cancer, Suzanne Stomean, ”CFTC was a wonderful experience and a great event.  Amazing how a city can come together with all walks of life when you are called to by the Lord, So many people were loved on and blessed.  I amlooking forward to doing it again next year.”"
