Joy! The Lord Is Come!

Joy to the World!

When we sing this phrase, we sing it to state how we should regard the posture of our soul by recommending the entire world ought to become joyful at the coming of our Christ.

However, if we were to say, “Joy, to the World” we must be in a posture of receiving joy that has been told to head in our direction. Joy has been told where to go. Joy has been sent…and it is ready and available to fill us all! Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Christmas for the City is time to give and receive that very present joy! From the Christmas music on every stage, from the decorations hanging on the walls, from the laughter of the children in the North Pole Village, from the cookies and hot cocoa flowing, from the uttered prayers in the prayer room, JOY is ready to fill our hearts!

Joy to Winston-Salem! Christmas for the City is come! This Saturday, December 17th from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, as we enter the doors of the Benton Convention Center, may each volunteer pass the spirit of Joy to each guest. May every person who enters, receive that joy that only Jesus can bring! See you on Saturday for Christmas for the City is come!
