3rd Devotional Christmas For The City 2023

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

In my family group chat, we each sent our Christmas wish list with notes and pictures detailing what we hope to receive.  Then, earlier today, some of my middle school students wrote letters to Santa in hopes that they too would receive some coveted gift to make them even more popular among their friend group.  All around, people are making lists and sharing their cherished dreams of what one hopes to receive this upcoming Christmas.  While receiving our choicest desire can truly satiate the soul, giving a gift can reward the heart even more!

This Christmas For The City 2023 will be the time where we each have the opportunity to operate in a godly manner and GIVE to those who dwell in Winston Salem.  As volunteers, partakers, donors and more, we have the opportunity to give so much love, joy, grace, and an overall meaningful experience to each visitor that enters the doors of the Benton Convention Center on this upcoming Saturday, December 16th between 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  We give through our smile, we give through our serving cookies, we give through our welcoming attitude, we give by speaking to each other, we give by looking into the eyes of each guest letting them know that they are seen and valuable.   We are to enter the doors of the Benton Convention Center ready to give.  Are you ready to give?

To help us become better prepared to give to our guests, there is a pre-CFTC event designed with each of us in mind.  On this upcoming Friday, December 15th at the Benton Convention Center, we will have a pre-volunteer reception from 5:15 pm – 5:45 pm where we will serve donated Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, followed by a pre-CFTC worship and prayer gathering from 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm.  Come prepared to receive on Friday and ready to give on Saturday!

Christmas For The City is here!
