Brought to you by the same friends that host Winston-Salem’s Joy Prom, the Snowball Dance will be a fun-filled holiday event for special needs individuals in the community, featuring a DJ, dancing, and photo booth.

Guests ages 16+ with any physical, developmental, or intellectual "different” ability are welcome. Please note that a parent or caretaker will be required to remain present during this event.

The Snowball Dance is a “floating activity;” i.e. you do not need to arrive right at 1pm. Come and stay for an hour or two and be sure to allow time to check out the other fun activities at Christmas for the City! Christmas casual or holiday attire encouraged.

The Snowball Dance is a part of CHRISTMAS FOR THE CITY - For the past fifteen years, local churches, businesses and members of the arts community have come together to throw a free citywide Christmas party that features live music and arts performances, original work by local artists, a make-your-own toy workshop and, Santa Claus. This year is our sixteenth year and we will be at the Benton Convention Center. Join Love Out Loud & Christmas for the City as we come together on Saturday, December 16th, 1:00 - 6:00 pm

In order to make the Snowball Dance a safer experience for all, volunteers working as Floaters and Friends will undergo background checks this year.  Therefore, signups will close Dec. 14th.
